Safaris & Sodomy is a deeply personal, intimate, and often playful journey through two of my greatest loves: the wild landscapes of Africa and the beautifully messy, human landscapes of queer desire. This nightstand-sized book is meant to be held close, read before bed, carried on trips, tucked into bags, kept where your private curiosities live.

This book brings together original wildlife photography from my journeys through the Serengeti, Kanha, the Pantanal, and Yellowstone, intimate portraits of elephants, hornbills, rhinos, monkeys, tigers and countless other creatures I’ve spent decades chasing, woven alongside personal essays exploring sexuality, nature, self-expression, and healing. I write candidly about pleasure, intimacy, connection, trauma, curiosity, kink, embodiment, love, humor, and the strange, beautiful intersections between my wildlife life and my adult content work, including the birth of the King Cock persona through themes of agency, joy, sex positivity, compassion, exploration, and a refusal to participate in shame-based frameworks. The book also reflects on the gay community, kindness, connection, and the meaning of pleasure, challenging harmful norms, celebrating bottoms, and inviting a gentler, more intentional erotic culture. Throughout, I’ve included artwork, stories, behind-the-scenes notes, photo studies that inspired certain King Cock posts, and small moments from safaris and encounters that I never shared publicly, threads of the same wild, honest world.
